“But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, ‘God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’" - JAMES 4:6
Years ago, an anonymous painting of Niagara Falls ended up in a gallery. Because the artist hadn’t given the painting a title, the gallery personnel decided to entitle the painting – “More to Follow.” Isn’t that great? Billions of gallons of water have gone over Niagara Falls over the years, and we can safely say there is “more to follow.” The water just keeps coming.
That’s the picture here of God’s grace. For immediate needs, there is immediate grace. For long-standing needs, there is long-standing grace. And there is saving grace, and sustaining grace that reaches down to us. In any area of life, there is ample grace that comes, and covers, and redeems, and brings us back to God. Grace upon grace, grace piled upon grace. And more to follow.
